A White Peacock Butterfly photographed at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix Arizona
Tidbits from Desert Haven Photography: Afternoon at the Desert Botanical Garden
Dennis and I were thrilled to receive a year’s pass to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, a vibrant oasis showcasing the Sonoran Desert’s stunning flora and fauna. Our visit was spent leisurely wandering the winding trails, captivated by the diversity of cacti, agaves, and wildlife that call this place home. One standout was the colorful male spiny lizard, its vivid blue and green scales catching the sunlight as it darted across the rocks.
The butterfly pavilion was a highlight, an enclosed sanctuary filled with tropical flowering plants and many butterfly species. Learn more about this enchanting space at Desert Botanical Garden’s Butterfly Pavilion. One of our favorite shots, a white peacock butterfly with its elegant, creamy wings, was among the first uploads to our Desert Haven Photography website, a testament to the pavilion’s magic.
Our year-long pass promises countless returns to this desert gem, each visit offering fresh inspiration for our photography.
