April trip to Bisbee and Sierra Vista AZ.

Southeastern Arizona is an ecological crossroads where the Sierra Madre of Mexico, the Rocky Mountains, and the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts converge, creating a haven for biodiversity. Learn more about this unique region at The Nature Conservancy's Ramsey Canyon Preserve.
In April, Dennis and I spent five days in Bisbee, using it as a base for day trips to Ramsey Canyon and nearby areas. We stayed at the charming Rose Canyon Suites, explored local museums, and took the fascinating Copper Queen Mine tour. Check it out at Bisbee's Copper Queen Mine Tours.
On day three, we arrived at Ramsey Canyon only to find it closed. Undeterred, we settled by the birdfeeder in front of the Ramsey Canyon Inn, just outside the gate. The inn’s serene setting was a perfect spot to relax and observe the local wildlife. Visit Ramsey Canyon Inn for more details. We returned the next day, wandering among towering sycamore trees and meeting passionate birders who flock to this renowned hotspot.
Another highlight was spotting the T.A.R.S. border patrol surveillance balloon floating high above. Intrigued, we became determined to learn more about it. Our curiosity led us within half a mile of the balloon while it was moored near Brown Canyon Ranch. Discover more about the balloon at CLUI's Tethered Aerostat Radar System page and explore the historic ranch at Brown Canyon Ranch.
We highly recommend the Bisbee, Sierra Vista area if you're planning a stay in Arizona next spring. https://www.discoverbisbee.com/
